Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake officially announced at Summer Game Fest 2026! Was the first game they announced in the show even!

(1/??) Resident Evil Requiem's preview embargo lifted, a bunch of sites got to play roughly 3 hours of the game in Rhode Hill Chronic Care Center. There's spoilers for this part of the game, though Capcom did blacklist mentioning certain things. Save Room Theme is very RE7-esque:

While I'm not convinced its Rule of Rose, this actually doesn't rule it out at all. Rule of Rose's narrator who reads storybooks is literally Gregory, so there's a masculine voice narrating over various scenes of the game. (Sorry to call you out on this one, just had to say.)

Something about the bluntness of Homer Simpson (standing in as a Matt Groening parody in the Yellow Mirror special) just bluntly stating Springfield is in Oregon after years of dancing around the answer I admit did get me.

(2/3) almost feel bad for them. We've been here with this series so many times at this point. Code Veronica: "It's payback time! We've gotta' destroy Umbrella, now! Let's finish this once & for all!" RE4: "So Umbrella went bankrupt off screen, anyways-" RE6: "Jake Muller takes

Here was my first playthrough reaction to that now famous basement door in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard:

This video has been doing the rounds today, but in case you haven't seen this, it's from the SkillUp review of Insomniac's Wolverine, but it shows an egregious example of what they mean of the Wolverine game not trusting its audience even a little bit.

For 30 days straight, I'm streaming every day on YouTube & Twitch to play through over 100 indie horror games. Starting around Noon PST / 3 PM EST and aiming to stream at least 12 hours each day. I'll be shamelessly plugging it here as I do it.

There was some new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay of a new area with Grace fighting a zombie in the Resident Evil special program that aired on Japanese television.

I played some Pragmata (not even close to beating it yet), just wanted to say I think so far it's not just good but genuinely fantastic. Finishing up the second main area, it's a video game ass video game in the best way, Hugh & Diana are great characters, & the music is amazing.

Here's the full cutscene from the end of the Resident Evil Requiem demo if anyone wants to see it. Nice to see a fuller RE9 cutscene. #ResidentEvilRequiem

Oh they DEFINITELY should re-release Michigan: Report From Hell, more people need to experience this B-Horror gem.

This is a core memory for me from my first time playing Resident Evil: Code Veronica X over a decade ago:

(1/2) Resident Evil Requiem's main vocal theme "Through the Darkness" has been revealed. Capcom released a promotional video for it's upcoming Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Concert being held in April in Japan, & the video included a small 50-second preview of RE9's main theme:

Resident Evil Requiem's main menu theme from the demo was shared & making the rounds. Will likely end up the main menu theme of the full RE9 game as that's not unusual for these demos.

Nvidia uploaded a new Resident Evil Requiem showcase video, which includes small snippets of new footage from Wrenwood we haven't seen before, & a new RE9 OST song playing in the background of the video (sound like an 'intense encounter' type of theme).

(1/3) Here's some new Resident Evil Requiem gameplay from Taipei Game Show 2026 (Part 1 of 3):

The new Resident Evil Requiem trailer at the Nintendo Direct being announced to be launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on launch, dissect it soon (and should be officially being uploaded too):

People don't know how truly excited I am to experience this whole sequence from the upcoming Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake. (Recording from my blind Let's Play from Code Veronica from over a decade ago).

Total Chaos is a horror game released today (PS5/Xbox/Steam) that caught my attention earlier at the Xbox Partner Preview event. Apparently a remake of a GZDoom mod, being sold for $24.99 USD. Music by Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame, this trailer really sold me on it:

This is my plea to you, Resident Evil fans, if you've never played Clock Tower 3, I insist that you must play it if you can! You really don't know what you're missing!

(1/2) Good catch! This really sounded like an Outbreak musical theme, so checked against the entirety of music from those games & didn't place the song to anything. So maybe it is a new soundtrack from Resident Evil Requiem! If any fans recognize the song from somewhere, please

(1/10) The Evil Within 1 released 10 years ago today. In my opinion, one of the best horror game IPs that surfaced out of the 2010s, & died way sooner than it ever should've. Want to reminiscence some on it. (Music video here by Vanskorge on YouTube, credit to him for it.)
