I’ve always felt like interfaith marriages are much deeper than people make them seem online. And before anybody misunderstands me, this is not even about hatred or discrimination. People are free to love who they want. But personally, I don’t understand how two people with completely different religious foundations are expected to fully align long-term without eventually clashing on beliefs, practices and values. What even triggered this thought again was a video I saw of a Christian woman praying like a Muslim because of her husband, and honestly the entire thing just felt performative and disrespectful to both religions. Not because she married a Muslim, but because if you’re going to participate in a religion publicly, at least understand the seriousness of what you’re doing. People in the comments were pointing out that her prayer wasn’t even valid according to Islamic teachings because of things like her nails and attachments and instead of it looking respectful, the whole thing started looking like social media content. And honestly, I think religion is too sacred to reduce to aesthetics or couple content. Even Christianity teaches believers not to be unequally yoked spiritually because faith shapes how people think, live and raise families.I just personally feel like if two people don’t genuinely respect and understand each other’s beliefs deeply, religion can slowly become a point of confusion, compromise or even resentment in marriage. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s honestly how I see it.

Stanleyflaskng; No my children are not, Catholics don’t discriminate, they also don’t preach religion even as a Pentecostal if you go their school you are not mandated to perform their act. “He only hits me when I do something wrong” is such a painful sentence because it shows how deeply some women were conditioned to normalize abuse instead of recognizing it for what it is. The way patriarchy teaches women to endure suffering and call it love will always be heartbreaking to witness. I genuinely wonder how many women have gone through this and still going through it. Cause what do you mean “he has given me life , despite being a girl child”
