Lime is being dropped off as soon as we pulled out of this field! There are a few fields with low pH so after harvest, lime is dumped on the field edge and then spread with a spreader according to the needs of the field based off soil sample results. Lime raises the pH which makes nutrients more available for the plants. It is expensive to spread though!

This is a huge misconception that I see very frequently due to the marketing gimmicks that have eroded the trust in our food system to make more money.
