Lime is being dropped off as soon as we pulled out of this field! There are a few fields with low pH so after harvest, lime is dumped on the field edge and then spread with a spreader according to the needs of the field based off soil sample results. Lime raises the pH which makes nutrients more available for the plants. It is expensive to spread though!

If you need a sign to get of your hind end and start taking care of yourself, take this as one‼️ Last September was probably one of the lowest points I was at after my brother died, and I started turning that train around that October. So grateful I started putting in the work and really understanding my body. Got lots of blood work done, met with my dietician, and stopped eating like garbage. You only get one body 🕺

September is suicide prevention awareness month. I have nothing new to say about how much suicide sucks except to remind you that life is better when you’re living it and suicide can kiss my ass. Sam was my best friend. He was funny, kind, always helping someone, smart, and determined. Everyone says time makes things “better” but time just brings new phases in life that you wish they were still around for, wondering what things would be like if they were still around. He will never get to hold my babies or be the fun uncle down here on Earth, but I know he’s taking care of it upstairs with big man. It SUCKS to lose anyone at any age, but I feel robbed when it comes to the time I should have had down here with Sam.

A large majority of harvested grain in western North Dakota is stored in bags until the farmers are ready to sell it. This keeps equipment moving during harvest because there’s not wait time for trucks!

I made and posted this video a year ago today. Got a lot of hate on Twitter for it, so here it is again. Xoxo🫶 It’s not about ThAnKinG a FaRmEr, I made this video to highlight the young generation of ag that still shows up, the people you see in this video are all my pals🤝

Wheat is NOT resistant to glyphosate/roundup and it is NOT a GMO! This is a huge misconception that I see very frequently due to the marketing gimmicks that have eroded the trust in our food system to make more money. Understanding the different between GMO and selective breeding is so important and applies to more than just wheat!
