An Airbus-led group of Spanish companies presented today the industrial programme of the Ejército del Aire y del Espacio's new Integrated Combat Training System. Based on a co-development agreement between Airbus, as the prime contractor, and Turkish Aerospace, as the manufacturer of the Hürjet training aircraft, the programme will cover the entire advanced training process for Spanish fighter pilots. The first Airbus #A400M for the Indonesian Air Force has entered the Final Assembly Line (FAL) in Seville, marking a significant milestone in the production of this multirole tanker and transport aircraft ahead of its delivery by the end of 2025. During this phase of assembly, key production milestones have been completed, including the attachment of the Horizontal Tail Plane (HTP) to the Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) and the integration of the wings to the fuselage. The aircraft, production number MSN148, will next undergo installation of its power plant and software, followed by a series of functional tests prior to its first engine run. The Indonesia Ministry of Defence 🇮🇩 ordered two Airbus A400Ms ✈️ in 2021, which will significantly enhance the Indonesian Air Force’s operational flexibility, supporting strategic and tactical missions, humanitarian assistance, medical evacuation, and aerial refuelling.

The last flight of a pioneer: after having been vital to advancing aerial refuelling, the A310 Multi Role Tanker Transport is going into retirement. 18 years and 350 flights later, the flying test-bed that paved the way to automatic air-to-air refuelling of the #A330MRTT and enabled countless in-house innovative projects at Airbus will be replaced by a soon to be converted A330-200. Announced at #PAS25: the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace has declared the Full Operational Capability of its #A400M fleet. An essential milestone that goes beyond capabilities, it concerns the full fleet envelope of the A400M operative. A Full Operational Capability is based on aircraft, but also is about crews, maintenance, training and infrastructure, including the last certification reached with the aircraft: the ability to drop a special-forces boat for the French Navy Commandos, which was achieved last February. With 24 aircraft and more than 10 years in operation, the French A400M fleet has achieved a definitive level of maturity.

May we present? This is the Valkyrie. Airbus is working at full throttle to offer the German Air Force an operational Uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft (UCCA) system by 2029. In Manching, near Munich, the company is currently preparing the first two Valkyries it acquired from its US partner Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. with a sovereign European mission system, the Multiplatform Autonomous Reconfigurable and Secure (MARS) system, for their maiden flight. MARS also contains an AI-supported software brain called MindShare which not only replaces the missing pilot, but is also capable of coordinating entire mission groups by being distributed across many manned and uncrewed platforms. New milestone achieved! ✔️ The first C295 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) for Spain has rolled-out from our Final Assembly Line in Seville 🇪🇸 and has entered the development and certification testing phase towards its first flight, scheduled before the end of the year. This is the first C295 MSA out of 8 that Spain will receive from 2026 onwards and which will be key to increase and enhance the Spanish Air and Space Force maritime surveillance, reconnaissance and search and rescue capabilities. These new aircraft will be the natural replacement for the CN-235 VIGMA fleet in service with the Ejército del Aire y del Espacio since 2008. The C295 MSA will be primarily equipped for maritime and overland operations such as anti-smuggling and anti-drug trafficking operations, as well as national and international search-and-rescue missions.
