With all the chatter about exploits and frustrating behavior by logi drivers I wanted to put this to the test myself to see what the numbers actually were. So I drove a logi truck an entire match. Well most of one. I got started at about 15 minutes late (Score was 15-14-9). That said in about 65 minutes of driving Logi I made 25895 XP including win bonus. So figure like 19k without the win bonus. I spent about 53k on the truck, my kit, a crate of hammers, and an extra fob. None of which I needed to do, so I could of easily made 130k vs 100k. And that was with the vast majority of my pallets not being unloaded cause they couldn't be. Had I run through the entire match I probably could of done 30k XP easy, and another $30k or $40k in profit That was with an unused FOB. In other words, the team built a fob, but stopped using it and spent the whole match chasing the circle. Not complaining or anything, just providing a relevant point. This also means you can do 20k xp an hour pretty consistently I think. That means you can unlock the T72 in less than 5 hours of gameplay. The Gepard is about 10. Arty truck is about 17. And the L2A6 is about 26. For comparison, I spent an ENTIRE match in a Gepard driving it. WE did pretty good. I got like 5 kills myself defending us from infantry, along with probably 40 assists from Jesse killing stuff. That didn't even pull 14k XP..... And I only made $72k So, in back to the logi truck, I spent 65 minutes doing something that did nothing to help the team. I was playing solo truck sim for an hour. No one cared about me cause why should they? The fob wasn't mortaring people or calling drills so it's out of sight out of mind. People probably didn't even know we had one. And it gave more XP and money than driving around in a GEPARD. Shit, it's more than I make in MOST of my matches running around with a rocket launcher and assault rifle getting 30 or 40 kills and shooting down a dozen helis. This is the best example so far of a BROKEN incentive structure. This is why you'll sometimes have 5 or 6 people doing nothing but running logi to the determent of the rest of the team. I'm perfectly fine with Logi paying well. It's a shitty job IMO (if you like it that's cool, I don't). And when it's being done to benefit the team it is VERY important. Even more so now in S2 because of how fast mortars and Talons can drain supplies. But in order for it to pay well it should be a benefit to the team. Logi drivers shouldn't be able to make huge money just delivering dead end pallets that never get used. It incentives players to NOT play the game. In fact it incentives them to actively avoid it so they don't loose their streak... In a match yesterday I watched a team of 4 or 5 logi drivers build a burner fob off on one side of a circle with no intent to use it for anything other than unloading their pallets into. It eventually got destroyed cause someone showed up and popped it with an IED or c4 or something. No idea if it was coordinated, but it wouldn't surprise me. Those same drivers dropped another fob in the same place 5 min later and filled it with all the pallets that wouldn't fit in the previous full FOB. They were all 200-300k in profit for the match cause we pulled out a win despite them not helping. This is exploitive play and ruins the experience of other players. I'd rather have a completely lost newb trying to figure out how to use mortars than ass clowns like those drivers.

Ran the Gepard with JesseKazam today for quite a bit. While it's a lot of fun it's not going to be the massive counter to AA a lot of us expected it to be. It's VERY hard to kill Lakotas with it unless they pretty much hover somewhere within 150m of you. While frustrating, I think this is actually OK. It chews up little birds pretty quickly. The TTK feels ok there. Rocket little birds in the hands of skilled pilots are going to win 1v1s with them more than loose fights I think. A rocket littlebird that gets the jump on a Gepard will win the fight. I'm worried havocs might be able to do the same, cause they are as hard to kill as Lakotas. A Havoc flying in with a volly of rockets and the gunner shooting is probably going to swamp the Gepard. The Gepards are also WAAAY more tanky to RPGs than I expected. Front on shots only do like 15-20% damage to them. MAWWS 3 shot them in the front. The biggest issues we had was making money in them. We only started making money shooting infantry and ground vehicles. Every lakota we killed was always an assist from a crash, so like $1500. Even the kills were only worth like $2 - 3k. Single infantry kills were worth like $4 or 5k at times. One Kodiak we blew up paid like 8k. Parked empty logi trucks paid $1k.

Well, it took me about 20 minutes to realize there is an end coming to this very quickly. And it's not even because of toxic ass holes blowing up their own teams crates. Player crates are just another form of supply lines, they are just a little harder to interupt. But you wanna talk about deleting cash? I can promise those were full of .50 cals, thermals, and other top end gear.

I honestly didn't understand the hype around the M4. It just felt MEH to me. Then I unlocked the suppressor, and holy shit... It's a completely different gun. I use the Holographic Sight, TDG Vert Grip, and the AR Multiclass Suppressor. I'm stuck with 30 rounders for now, but found some 60s off a guy one match and it still feels really good. Costs almost 6k but it cuts people down.

This is just one of many reasons why I think spotting rewards are just silly. This life in particular... I jumped out at the zone with a range finder and a parachute. Thats it... So like $300? I looted the first bag I found when I landed to get the rest of the gear. Red happened to have there APC in the zone. I spotted it. It gets blown up by a rocket heli. And before you try to say my spotting is why it got destroyed, it had nothing to do with that it. Moth was already on his way to destroy it. Team chat is why I even knew it was there to begin with. I got paid $16,000... For doing nothing... While I was dead. I would have still been paid the same amount if green had C4'd it. Where as, if I come in with an assault kit and C-4, I'm 10k min, but probably closer to 25k with higher end stuff. I have to survive pushing the APC, planting, and setting off the C-4 to get paid. I'm not saying spotting is useless, I'm saying the risk vs reward for it is out of wack.

The shared tasks and how they function has been one of the best QoL features added to Tarkov. Being able to just play the game and not have to worry about who kills what with X weapon makes raids so much more enjoyable. I don't have grenadier... Doesn't matter. This kill still counted for the guys on my team that do.

SUPER common question I'm getting is "how do I get my Wardog drops?" The system isn't super intuitive, so I made this short little clip to explain it with a bonus tip thrown in. Keep in mind this isn't just for drops. Eventually with crafting and some of the other systems, this is how you'll access bonus gear and vehicles.
