Doing our bit for a healthier, stronger India 🇮🇳 As an athlete, I’ve always been mindful of what I eat and over the years, I’ve come to realise that small changes in our daily habits can make a big difference. That’s why I’m proud to join hands with the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, for a special awareness campaign under the National Mission on Edible Oils (NMEO). The message is simple but powerful: Let’s try to reduce our edible oil consumption by just 10%. Not just for ourselves but for our families, and for the country. India currently consumes over 20 kg of edible oil per person every year. That’s much higher than what’s considered healthy and it’s also one of the reasons we spend nearly ₹80,000 crore on oil imports annually. This campaign is a reminder that good health starts at home. And that even a small change like being mindful of the oil we use can lead to a big impact. As a father, I think about the habits we’re passing on to the next generation. If we can make healthier choices today, we’re setting them up for a stronger tomorrow. Grateful for the chance to do my part. Let’s come together to build a healthier, more self-reliant Bharat.
