I must confess that i have been having some fun here in the US, for the better part of, close to two weeks -now in the city so good they named it twice. Guess where is that? Here is a Behind-the-Scene clip with my great friend and brother (Ademola Bello-not in clip but see old photo as well) who was helping me with the Teleprompter as we spent time rehearsing My Take for yesterday's edition of @InsideSource01 on Channels Television I also add here the photograph of me receiving the "Voice of Truth Award" last week in Washington DC at the SAVE NIGERIA COALITION Gala. Presenting me the award there is Mr. Douglas Burton, a US journalist and editor of And the answer to the question above is New York, New York! I love this city & state so much, which explains why I spent 15 of the 17 years -in America-here with my wife & children. Expect more of such biographical stories in my forthcoming book, MY PASSION FOR NIGERIA & THE BUHARI CABAL, hopefully before the 2027 polls.

It's a delight to receive the 2026 Voice of Truth Award of the Save Nigeria Coalition USA earlier this week at the Hilton Capitol Hill at an impressive event attended by Pastor E.A Adeboye who was also recognised with the Patriarch of Faith Award. In the citation for Pastor Adeboye he was described as "the most compelling Nigerian gift to the world." President Donald Trump was also recognised in absentia by the Coalition which is led by Stephen OSEMWEGIE and includes the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans, CANAN, of which i was the inaugural Executive Director 14 years ago. ( By the way, CANAN was the platform we used then in 2012 to secure the designation of Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US Government.)

One yet-to-be-told detail of Mr. Wale Edun’s removal is the fact that since after Asiwaju became president, younger technocrats like new Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele & NRS (former FIRS) Chairman Zacch Adedeji have earned more of the President's trust and reliance over and above Edun. Edun never liked that. And so you could tell where the direction was going- that Edun would be the one to go. The new Nigerian Ambassadors are hitting the ground running especially in the US where particularly in Washington DC & New York both Ambassador Kayode Are and Permanent Representative/Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim are off to some impressive start. We shall be saying more about this in the coming weeks, as i continue my current trip to the US.

Which version of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai should we follow. The one he said years ago, while as Governor that he paid Fulani people who were attacking Nigerians, taking the law into their own hands or the version of yesterday, as opposition politician that he won't pay bandits? What's the difference? I am just asking for a friend....

Do you know that as Nigerians, we are getting used to the callousness that drives the killings in parts of the country. So much that we just see the innocently murdered as mere numbers. Yesterday on My Take on #InsideSources I read out names of some of those butchered in Plateau and indicated their ages. They are human beings like all of us with hopes and aspirations. Let's call a spade a spade: the killings in Benue & Plateau States are genocidal. We can no longer dismiss those claims with the wave of the hand anymore if we ever tried to in the past. In My Take during yesterday's edition of Inside Sources on Channels Television I noted the importance of ministers engaging effectively with the Nigerian people. In my view that's one of the strengths the new Finance Minister is bringing. I also mentioned federal ministers such as Dr. Alausa, with his bold reforms in education Mr. Wike, despite his many controversies, and a few others. See clip below.

FYI to the Atiku Abubakar team that is calculating the issue of rotational presidency from 1999. We can't do that. An independent Nigeria started in 1960 and since then we have had presidents, heads of states & prime minister 10 times from the North totaling 46 years. On the other hand, we have had one head of state and three presidents up to date from the South totaling about 20 years since independence. So when we say the South should be in office at the Presidential Villa up until 2031, after 8 straight years of the Buhari Presidency from 2015-2023, we are saying let's keep that consensus as an imperative for nation-building; a sense of mutual belonging for the North & the South. Can we say this enough for the Atiku supporters to get it? It was the insistence of Former VP Atiku to run in 2023 against the grain of rotational presidency that destroyed the PDP. Will that again destroy the ADC?

When a law professor & former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission makes this kind of allegations against a former Governor-ie El-Rufai, it is very difficult to ignore. Where is Dadiyata Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai ? Can someone respond to the claim that Agom Adara -a traditional ruler in Kaduna State, Nigeria was kidnapped after a meeting with former Governor El-Rufai & at least let the world know this was not a case of organised conspiracy as it looks. These are serious allegations that should not be ignored AT ALL. Odinkalu made this allegations on national TV.

I find Mr. Babachir Lawal, former SGF, quite brutally honest on this matter-even though he has fallen out with Bola Ahmed Tinubu yet he details how much of a huge contribution President Tinubu made to ensure Buhari won the APC primaries in 2014 & general elections in 2015.
