Those security forces from military, police & intelligence who got this rescue done in Oyo State yesterday have given all of us not just a big relief, but actually a new expectation. Only weeks ago, I was lamenting that one can't even remember a dramatic rescue! Now we got one. Let this be a turning point, O LORD! And fair is fair, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ie President Tinubu deserves kudos for this one, alongside all our security agencies. Kudos to Seyi Makinde ie Oyo State Governor as well. Now, let's make this rescue the new way to go, defeat the evil forces and quell the fear in the land, because we can do it. Congratulations, Nigeria will prevail!

So Madam Achimugu is claiming EFCC is harrasing her. In this clip from My Take on Inside Sources on Friday, I took the view that the madam should simply sue EFCC & then plainly explain that $7m cash dumped at Providus Bank and which was then traced to her. One yet-to-be-told detail of Mr. Wale Edun’s removal is the fact that since after Asiwaju became president, younger technocrats like new Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele & NRS (former FIRS) Chairman Zacch Adedeji have earned more of the President's trust and reliance over and above Edun. Edun never liked that. And so you could tell where the direction was going- that Edun would be the one to go. I must confess that i have been having some fun here in the US, for the better part of, close to two weeks -now in the city so good they named it twice. Guess where is that? Today in Washington DC, I would be co-hosting the US/Nigeria Heroes of Faith Gala, where top US functionaries and leading Nigerian voices championing the cause of victims of extreme violence in our country would be honored. President Trump, Congressmen Chris Smith & Riley Moore are among those to be honored on the American side, while Pastor Adeboye leads the Nigerian side. It's a delight to receive the 2026 Voice of Truth Award of the Save Nigeria Coalition USA earlier this week at the Hilton Capitol Hill at an impressive event attended by Pastor E.A Adeboye who was also recognised with the Patriarch of Faith Award. In the citation for Pastor Adeboye he was described as "the most compelling Nigerian gift to the world." President Donald Trump was also recognised in absentia by the Coalition which is led by Stephen OSEMWEGIE and includes the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans, CANAN, of which i was the inaugural Executive Director 14 years ago. ( By the way, CANAN was the platform we used then in 2012 to secure the designation of Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the US Government.)

The new Nigerian Ambassadors are hitting the ground running especially in the US where particularly in Washington DC & New York both Ambassador Kayode Are and Permanent Representative/Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim are off to some impressive start. We shall be saying more about this in the coming weeks, as i continue my current trip to the US.

FYI to the Atiku Abubakar team that is calculating the issue of rotational presidency from 1999. We can't do that. An independent Nigeria started in 1960 and since then we have had presidents, heads of states & prime minister 10 times from the North totaling 46 years. On the other hand, we have had one head of state and three presidents up to date from the South totaling about 20 years since independence. So when we say the South should be in office at the Presidential Villa up until 2031, after 8 straight years of the Buhari Presidency from 2015-2023, we are saying let's keep that consensus as an imperative for nation-building; a sense of mutual belonging for the North & the South. Can we say this enough for the Atiku supporters to get it? It was the insistence of Former VP Atiku to run in 2023 against the grain of rotational presidency that destroyed the PDP. Will that again destroy the ADC?

In my view that's one of the strengths the new Finance Minister is bringing.
