Four years ago, two of the richest and most successful Pakistanis, with a combined estimated net worth of more than US$25 billion, spoke about Prime Minister Imran Khan , his leadership and their confidence in Pakistan’s future. “Before Imran Khan, I had not traveled to Pakistan for nearly 20 years. But because of the hope and confidence he gave me in the country, I traveled to Pakistan every year while he was Prime Minister. When COVID-19 struck and economies around the world were facing an unprecedented crisis, Imran Khan navigated Pakistan through an extremely difficult period with great care and, above all, with deep concern for the country’s poor and vulnerable. Look at Pakistan’s history and compare Imran Khan’s leadership with those who came before and after him. I have known Imran Khan for some time, and I have seen the extraordinary challenges under which he led the country. Despite those extremely difficult circumstances, he gave millions of Pakistanis, including those living overseas, renewed hope and confidence in Pakistan’s future.”(Syed Javaid Anwar) “I have hope. I think the future of Pakistan is going to be fabulous with Mr. Imran. It’s proud to be Pakistani again. Imran Khan is larger than life, and it’s the best thing that has happened to Pakistan, at least in my lifetime.”(Shahid Khan) Four years later, look at where Pakistan stands. Imran Khan was removed from power, and the political order that followed was ultimately consolidated through the most rigged elections in Pakistan’s history. Now comes perhaps the most significant admission from within the system itself: Mohsin Naqvi, one of Pakistan’s most powerful and influential sitting federal ministers, has publicly acknowledged that the current system has failed. That admission matters. The same system presented as the alternative to Imran Khan has failed to deliver political stability, economic confidence or national unity. Millions of Pakistanis are struggling with poverty and the rising cost of living, yet we continue to see priorities disconnected from their daily reality, including the Punjab government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz moving to acquire a new aircraft for official travel. The contrast could not be clearer. Pakistan does not merely need money. It needs confidence. It needs its diaspora, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals and young people to believe in the country again. Overseas Pakistanis can bring billions of dollars in investment, deposits, technology, expertise and global market access. But that confidence cannot be commanded. It must be earned. And today, no Pakistani political leader has demonstrated the ability to unite and mobilize the global Pakistani diaspora on the scale of Imran Khan. This is bigger than one person or one political party. Pakistan’s revival requires constitutional supremacy, an independent judiciary, fundamental and human rights, free and fair elections, rule of law, political stability and respect for the people’s mandate. Four years later, the question is no longer simply what those two Pakistani billionaires said about Imran Khan. The question is whether Pakistan can afford to continue with a system that one of its own most powerful sitting ministers now acknowledges has failed.

An impactful car rally took place in Houston, Texas, demonstrating solidarity with Chairman Imran Khan, and over 10,000 political workers detained for more than three months. The rally, featuring hundreds of cars, showcased the participants' unwavering support and affection for their leader, Imran Khan. I am really grateful to my fellow Houstonians who came out in 108 Degree heat on such a short notice. Pakistan Zindabad #ReleaseImranKhan #ReleaseImranRiazKhan

That's the Establishment's attitude towards the 230 million people of Pakistan and its youth. If this is the mindset, any hopes for improvement in the country seem bleak. It's a sorry state of affairs.

The first heartfelt appeal from Imran Khan cricket family urging players to speak up for him hasn’t come from any cricketer in Pakistan. It has come from Maj. Gen. Norman McLean, who toured Pakistan as manager of the West Indies team in 1987 and 1989. It’s painful and deeply telling that a voice from outside our borders shows this courage while so many at home remain silent. History will remember who stood up in a moment of injustice and who chose comfort over conscience.

Let’s close this chapter once and for all. Sajid N. Tarar has falsely claimed for years to be an advisor to President Trump. Leading up to Pakistan’s elections, he used mainstream media to push the narrative that the President Trump administration would not prioritize Imran Khan or Pakistan, attempting to discourage Pakistani Americans from voting Republican. At today’s mainstream TV program, to please his masters in Pakistan he claimed that Ambassador Richard Grenell doesn’t hold a high rank within Trump administration, and like others saying he has been influenced by the lobbyist. To set the record straight, I confirmed directly with a senior official at the Republican National Committee that not only has he never been an advisor to President Trump, but he is also not even permitted to attend high-level Republican events. I have written confirmation of this for further clarity.

My message to the supporters of Imran Khan is you have right on your side in terms of legitimacy of popular vote. Don’t overplay your hand it’s gonna work for you. But I would also say it to the Generals and I would be more than happy to say it to them in private for goodness sake perhaps you were mislead about what the popular view was but you know what it is now. It doesn’t diminish the military power or military role in Pakistan to acknowledge what the actual vote is. I would argue it would strengthen the Military if they acknowledged it. To the global cricketing community, legends, current stars, commentators, administrators, and fans worldwide: Imran Khan , the man who captained Pakistan to the 1992 World Cup glory, revolutionized the game with his all-round brilliance, leadership, and vision both on and off the field, is now fighting for his sight and dignity in Adiala Jail. Recent court reports confirm he has lost nearly **85% of vision in his right eye**left with only about 15% due to untreated central retinal vein occlusion. Jail authorities allegedly ignored his repeated complaints of blurred vision for months, leading to irreversible damage from a blood clot. At 73, after over **900 days in solitary confinement**, he faces ongoing medical neglect, restricted family access, and inhumane conditions despite international human rights standards demanding proper care for every prisoner. This is not politics alone; this is a fellow cricketer, a World Cup-winning captain, an icon who inspired generations of players across borders, being subjected to what amounts to cruel and degrading treatment. Cricket has always stood for fair play, resilience, and speaking truth to power whether on the pitch or beyond. It is your **moral duty** to speak up now. The silence from the cricketing world is deafening when one of its greatest legends is losing his eyesight in prison due to deliberate neglect. Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, and others showed solidarity in the past now is the time for the entire fraternity to unite louder than ever. - Demand immediate, independent medical treatment and specialist care for Imran Khan. - Call for an end to solitary confinement and restoration of basic rights. - Urge global bodies like the ICC, players' associations, and media to raise their voices against this injustice. The time is **NOW** before more harm is done. Imran Khan once saw the future of cricket and led Pakistan to victory against all odds. Today, the cricketing world must see his suffering and act. History will remember who stood up for a brother in the game when it mattered most. Speak out. Use your platforms. So essentially, this individual, Gentry Beach—whoever he is—is endorsing the baseless accusations made by Pakistan’s Defense Minister and other members of the current regime. They falsely claim that Ambassador Richard Grenell and other senior Republican Party members called for Imran Khan’s release solely because they were funded by Pakistani Americans. Gentry Beach reinforces this false narrative by falsely stating that a lobby group working for Imran Khan is spending $2-3 million every month in the U.S. This claim is not only misleading but also an outright insult to the 1 million Pakistani Americans, the majority of whom worked tirelessly during President Donald J. Trump Donald J. Trump campaign out of genuine conviction and support.
