#OnThisDay 44 years ago Carlos Reutemann won the #SouthAfricanGP. Had it been counted as a world championship-status #F1 GP, as seemed possible at one time, he’d have been ’81 F1 world champion. But it wasn’t, more’s the pity, &amp; it still hurts. 😢

The #F1 #FrenchGP has been run #OnThisDay 6 times, &amp; the best of them was the ’79 race, won by Jean-Pierre Jabouille but starring Jabouille’s Renault team-mate René Arnoux &amp; Ferrari’s Gilles Villeneuve. Watch &amp; enjoy!
