“Not an hour passes without rockets raining down on us.” An elderly man in #Taiz breaks down in tears as he describes life under Houthi shelling and siege. He accuses the Houthis of indiscriminately bombarding residential areas and tightening the siege to force people from their homes. Residents have been killed and wounded, houses destroyed, and families left too frightened to venture outside, he says. Even livestock have died because the shelling prevents residents from taking them out to graze. “The Houthis’ cruelty does not represent the Yemeni people.
