Jayna – Childhood Story I should say first that I’m not from Bangkok I’m from Korat. I wasn’t exactly a naughty kid, but I wasn’t completely obedient either. For example, if a teacher told us to pull our socks all the way up, I would pull them up, walk past the teacher, apologize politely, and then pull them back down afterward. So I wasn’t openly disobedient, but I was a bit sneaky. Polite in front of teachers, different behind their backs.I would do things as long as they didn’t reach my mom’s ears. But I never did anything extreme, like climbing over the school wall or skipping school entirely. Sometimes I would tell my mom I had a headache so she would pick me up early. But once I got in the car, she would know right away that I was lying. I wasn’t a very studious child. My mom said I didn’t need to get straight A’s. I could have B’s or C’s— just don’t fail. I had quite a lot of C’s. In middle and high school, I joined many school activities. I was a “funny cheerleader,” not the pretty type.I wore exaggerated costumes and did silly, playful dances to entertain people. Ginny – Childhood Story As a child, my life wasn't anything out of the ordinary I mostly spent my time studying. When I was young, I took ballet, piano, and karate lessons. I actually started karate because of my younger brother he had to take taekwondo and karate, so I just joined him. However, my mom added ballet specifically for me. I didn't reach a very high level in karate; a yellow belt was enough for me, as it was more about staying active. When I got older, I joined the Color Guard at school. For those who don't know, it's the group that performs with flags as part of a marching band. I wasn't a drum major it's quite different. Color Guard members usually perform in the background to create visual effects using flags, mock rifles, or sabers. While Color Guard isn't very popular in Thailand, almost every school in the U.S. has one. When I moved to America, I joined the team there. At my new school, they didn't know how to spin rifles yet, so I taught them. Because of that, I was given a solo performance. The training was intense my body was often bruised, and I even got hit in the head a few times but I'm proud of it. That experience gave me a unique skill and shaped who I am today. It taught me endurance; when I focus on a goal, I’m the type of person who will push through and finish it, no matter how hard it gets. —— Ginny’s childhood was the total flip side of Jayna’s 😅 #GinJay #จินเจ #ginnynatnicha
