Everyone who complained about Benjamin Asare being benched for Ati Zigi was 1 million percent right. The difference is simple: Benjamin Asare commands the defense. He constantly talks, organizes the backline, and keeps everyone alert. Ati Zigi is a good shot-stopper, but he's often too quiet in goal and doesn't direct the defenders enough. A goalkeeper doesn't just make saves he leads from the back. Benjamin brings that leadership, and it shows. If team selection is based on anything other than merit, including political interference, Ghana football will only continue to suffer.

I'm confused. 🤔🤔 Isn't this the same Ronaldo who publicly said the World Cup is just a seven-game tournament and not his biggest dream? If your captain has already told the world that this competition isn't the ultimate goal of his career, why should the entire team be expected to sacrifice their own game just to make him the hero? Maybe instead of blaming Bruno, Vitinha, João Neves, Rafael Leão, and João Félix, we should ask why Portugal's captain isn't carrying more of the responsibility himself. Football is a team sport, not a personal tribute act.

We never gave up. Today Messi has won every major international trophy available. Copa América, Finalissima, World Cup, you name it. Now suddenly the excuse is, “FIFA rigged it for Messi.” Come on, that’s nonsense. Messi suffered, failed, got criticized, lost finals, retired and came back before reaching where he is today. The funny thing is Messi fans haven’t even trolled Ronaldo fans the way Ronaldo fans trolled us back then. This is just light banter and suddenly people are drawing the line. 😂 After all those years of hearing “international trophies?”, allow us to enjoy this small moment in peace.
