Our day in Gaza begins at 4 a.m., leaving in the darkness to line up for water, then waiting for hours under the burning sun just to get water that is only suitable for washing because it is always salty. The situation here in northern Gaza is beyond any imagination. For hours now, the army has been dropping flares on us, turning the night into a terrifying daytime. The danger surrounds us from every side, especially after the evacuation leaflets that demanded two million people to flee to the south. Displacement is not an easy solution; it is a journey of suffering. After three days of searching and despair, I found a safe place in the south where we can set up our tent. But the problem is that the cost of this place is very high, 1400£ just to secure the spot. From Northern Gaza… Holding a Missile Remnant in My Hand 💔 Yesterday, I walked alone all the way back to northern Gaza — it took me about four hours. When I arrived, I was shocked to see the massive destruction everywhere. I spent last night in the street, without a mattress or blanket, trying to find a place for my family as we prepare for yet another displacement to northern Gaza. I truly hope this will be our last. I documented some photos showing the scale of destruction and the remnants of the missiles used to bomb us — in one of the videos, I’m holding a piece of a missile in my hand. For the safety of my family, we’ll remain in the south for now, since the northern areas are filled with explosives.
