Shelly: Since I met Pundao, she has been like another world that I have in my life. I was able to say the things I wanted to say, smile the way I wanted to smile, laugh the way I wanted to laugh, and discover another side of myself that I never thought existed. I don’t even know if I would be the Shelly I am today if I had never met her. If I had never met her, would I have ever known what it feels like to love someone? I would have never known that this tough side of me could actually move closer to hug someone, to hold someone, simply because that’s what my feelings wanted to do. If I had never known her, I probably would never have known what it feels like to say I miss someone, or to say I’m worried about and want to protect someone. Since I met her, she has made me feel like I became a new Shelly. #shellypundao #shellybenda

Shelly: Honestly, everyone might think I could have handled this better. Yes, I could have handled the situation better, but I don’t know why. I don’t know what I was afraid of. I never wanted to hurt anyone’s feelings, not even a single person. All I knew was that time would eventually make everyone understand, and time would make her see that I had already made my choice. But the timing I had imagined was not this moment. I never wanted this situation to happen. I can honestly say that I once trusted him very, very much, even when he came back into my life and continued to be around me. I still thought he was a good friend, and that he would never hurt me. Until this situation happened, and I also learned many things about this man’s actions as well. And I cannot answer what his intentions were either. #shellybenda

Shelly: At that time, I didn’t know what it truly meant to have him in my life. Was it love? Was it comfort? Was it because my mother had already chosen him for me? I still couldn’t answer that for myself. My mother said he was a good person, that he would be able to take care of me. I didn’t have much experience, so I just thought, “Okay, let’s try.” When I joined the agency, I told them that I had already ended my relationship with this person and that I had chosen my own future. But when it came to my mother, I simply watched and felt that there was someone taking care of her when I wasn’t there. I wondered why she thought I couldn’t do this on my own. Was I not capable enough? Was I not grown-up enough? Was I not ready? I never asked because I didn’t know what kind of answer I would get. #shellybenda

Shelly: I first met him through a volunteer camp. It was the first time he got to know Shelly, the first time he met my mother, and the first time he met Benny. We had already known each other, and he became close with my family, close with my mother, and close with my siblings. I saw him as a good older brother and someone who would never hurt us. #shellybenda
