A female student from the Faculty of Social Sciences at KyambogoUniversity, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Resource Governance, was attacked this evening while returning home from an evening lecture through the SOBE Gate. She was reportedly assaulted and badly beaten before being left in the bush, where she was later discovered by a fellow student. Her gadgets were taken during the attack. She was first taken to a medical facility and later referred to Naguru Hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, she was subsequently referred to Mulago Hospital, where she is currently receiving emergency medical attention. We pray for her recovery and call for heightened security around campus, especially during evening hours.
