Posting my full comments to Megan Basham on Daily Wire's Morning Wire show this morning on the Cracker Barrel debacle. I do not want to downplay the upstream influence of what we may call "woke" on corporate culture. It is a lens for viewing the world that, objectively speaking, distracts from an enterprise's mission, not focuses it. It causes blindspots. It kills passion for the work and love for a brand's historical values and customers. This goes far beyond a doctrine now. This is a crisis of competency in the corporate world and its consultant class who are being asked to solve real business challenges. Jaguar is mostly dead now because of a failed business transformation, of which its brand was a critical part. Will Cracker Barrel follow?
