The Jackdaw field alone could provide the equivalent of 250 million barrels of oil in natural gas, and could be up and running by Christmas. But because of Ed Miliband and the Labour Party it is stuck in limbo. Keeping us ever more reliant on imports. Madness.

Popped out to say hi to Just Stop Oil. 👋 Ironically campaigning for less British oil and gas…which means more imports and a higher carbon footprint. 🤦♂️🤷♂️ Labour need to ignore these idiots and this nonsense and get on and in the national interest, approve Rosebank and Jackdaw. 🇬🇧

🥀 Lucy Powell confirms ‘no change of policy’ from Labour on Oil and Gas just ‘change of emphasis’ 🤦♂️ 🥀 No change to banning licenses. No change to the EPL…simply approving the two fields that we (checks notes) approved over two years ago. 🥀 They haven’t learnt a thing.

Labour just voted to shut down our North Sea oil & gas industry costing thousands of jobs. This cannot go on. The Conservatives have a plan to cut bills, support industry, protect jobs, and make Britain energy secure. Our Get Britain Drilling bill would deliver exactly that.

Today Labour announced their plan to ban all new oil & gas licences. Their Energy Dependency bill will create jobs abroad, at the expense of British workers. The Conservatives Get Britain Drilling bill will reopen our North Sea, support jobs and make Britain energy secure.

🥀 Whipping Labour MPs to shut down our oil and gas industry at the same time as relieving sanctions on Russian oil (for however brief a period) is shameful and unforgivable. 🥀 Our own oil and gas workers and the international community will be staggered at this madness.
