Tonight will probably be another massive attack. Yes, it’s still scary. Yes, we still can’t get used to it. Because this is not normal. And it never will be. So before the sirens begin and the sky fills with drones again, I’m making borsht and trying to enjoy a few quiet hours. This is what life in Ukraine looks like sometimes: waiting for the worst, while cooking dinner and pretending everything is okay.
