Unisex toilets: We were promised unisex toilets would be enclosed from floor to ceiling. Not here. Apparently there is a building code but it clearly wasn’t followed. One cubicle is a urinal so men can use all 5 cubicles but women can only use 4. The communal hand washing facilities are awkward and sometimes intimidating. I made sure nobody was in the toilets when I began filming but right on queue a fella wanders up behind me. He was right to assume they were gross. These toilets are completely open to a busy street. Was woken up by a familiar cracking sound at 3am followed by a 3 or 4 second panic as I waited for it to hit the house. Turns out the dead 50 meter gumtree on the neighbors property, which has been an eagle and hawk perch the whole 20 years I have lived here, finally fell, taking two other large gums and a branch of my huge pine tree with it. Landed on the wood shed about 10 meters from where I was sleeping. The only damage to the sturdy shed my carpenter ex built was a hole in the tin roof. Huge cleanup ahead as I need to keep the wood dry as its winter and our primary heating is a wood fire. I live on a little hobby farm about 55 minutes from the heart of Melbourne, Australia in the beautiful Yarra Ranges.
