Know Your Captain: Captain Evanso For most bus drivers, the journey to the cockpit starts from being a loader then assistant Captain. It's a journey that takes a lot of patience and trust. For others, they either take the truck route or the Matatu (nganya route). Captain Evanso is among the youngest drivers on the KE Bus World. Started out as a Matatu Driver, he has driven Nganyas in the City of Nairobi before making the jump into the bus world. Simba Cool gave him the platform and he is a trained Scania F310 (Rungu Edition), P310, P360 and F360. He currently is the second in command alongside Captain Moha Skipper on the MAN HB4 from Nairobi to Juba. Vessel: MAN HB4 26.360 6x2. Code Name: Ya Maboys Flight Number: KDV 810F

I know when I sell a truck, I have no clue how it's gonna be used, but this is not how to take care of the SinoTruk Howo NX 300. The OEM prescribes a GVW of 26T on this truck. When you factor the tare weight of 10T, you notice this is only meant to carry 15-17T at most. I also know KENHA registered Saccos are allowed an extra 1-2T, meaning max payload hapa will be 19T. This is probably carrying 22-23T and long term effects will be felt when the wear and tear hits different starting with clutch and then the suspension. Anyway, like we say in the truck world, Kitunze Kidumu! But what do I know? I stay observing
