Dalouna Events shut down part of Times Square for a dabke dance with loudspeakers. The NYPD immediately stopped the event. Dalouna Events said the NYPD’s actions were racist and they shut them down because they saw their keffiyeh and Gaza shirts. Times Square consists of public streets, sidewalks, and pedestrian plazas. Under NYC Administrative Code § 19-107, closing any street or portion of it to pedestrian or vehicular traffic requires a permit from the NYC Department of Transportation commissioner. Events that interfere with or obstruct the normal use of streets, sidewalks, or plazas require a Street Activity Permit through the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management / Street Activity Permit Office (CECM/SAPO). A separate NYPD Sound Device Permit is required for any amplified sound (speakers, PA systems, etc.) on public streets, parks, or places. No one was picking on them or being racist. Always the victims. No permit, no performance.

I was watching the protest at Epic Mosque. And I found this clip to be absolutely hilarious. The guy in the video is saying, that Muslims aren’t a problem because they are only 1.3-2% of the population, they are too small of a minority to be the problem. He then blames the Jews and the Jewish lobbies for all of the problems in America. The Jews are .02% of the population.
