We admire the pyramids and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but do we celebrate our own heritage? The Brihadeeswarar Temple in Thanjavur, built by Rajaraja Chola, has the tallest gopuram in the world, crowned by an 80-ton stone lifted without modern machinery. This marvel, standing strong for over 1,000 years without plaster, has withstood six earthquakes. The Cholas also built the world’s greatest naval empire, reaching Bali and China centuries before Columbus set sail. Our history is one of genius and resilience, let’s take pride in it!
