I testified against Senate Bill 2479, a disgraceful anti-ICE blacklist bill that would ban ICE officers from serving in Rhode Island law enforcement. An ICE officer can help remove violent criminal illegal aliens, protect American families, enforce federal law, and risk their life doing a job and then Rhode Island Dems want to say that person should be barred from serving in law enforcement in RI. Rhode Island Democrats treat immigration enforcement like a crime and treat criminal illegal aliens like victims.

On Monday night, June 9, after attending the South Kingstown Town Council meeting, I was physically assaulted by Councilman Jay Wegimont. He stormed out mid-meeting, skipped a vote, and charged right at me. He proceeded to body slam me in the hallway and screamed in my face over a seven-month-old social media post where I mentioned his 3 DUIs. I tried to walk away. He followed me down the hallway, into the stairwell still yelling, still escalating. That’s when I pulled out my phone and hit record. The second he realized he was on camera, he changed instantly. He tried to calm himself down because in that moment, he knew: he’d been caught. This wasn’t a heat of the moment dispute. This was a calculated act of political intimidation. I’ve filed criminal charges and I am pressing charges. Wegimont should resign immediately. Political violence is un-American. I won’t be bullied. I won’t be silenced. I will always fight for what’s right.
