🇷🇺🇧🇫 Russia just hosted Burkina Faso — a former French colony in the Sahel now breaking free from Paris — for a friendly in Volgograd. Final score: Russia 3 – Burkina Faso 0. In the city that crushed Nazi Germany, a Sahelian nation turning toward multipolarity is now playing soccer with Russia. While the European colonialists scream about “authoritarianism” and sanctions, African nations are quietly building real alliances — energy, security, trade, and now sports. The old colonial order is fading on the pitch and off it. The multipolar world is already on the field.

Alastair Crooke (Alastair Crooke): “Serious commentators in Russia are writing that Russia has to understand that the attack on Russia from Europe, particularly Europe and the US, but particularly Europe, is not about regime change. It’s not about pushing Putin out of office; it is to finally destroy Russia, to break it up, and to destroy it as a powerful state. So the lessons are sort of widening, and the results are coming back to us in different ways. That’s why the Russians are being so tough now and warning the Europeans and warning others that you can’t go on. You can’t just go on firing your missiles, Britain giving Ukraine 120,000 drones and some long-range missiles to fire deep into Russia to kill our people. And you think that you can do this with impunity, and you just do more and more and more and ratchet it up further and further. They say that’s just not acceptable. And I think the turning point came with the destruction of that dormitory with all those young teenagers who were killed. Twenty-one of them were killed. They said that’s the last straw; we’re not going to tolerate this, and if you don’t get it, we’re going to follow the Iranian pattern. You’ve got some vulnerable assets in different places. Using conventional weapons, we may have to hit those. Later, if you still don’t get the message, then it may turn to tactical nuclear weapons. And the Iranians understand this. That’s why they say we will only believe that the blockade on the Strait is lifted when the naval vessels are removed from the Gulf altogether, not just moved back a little bit and not just half done, and no promises about relief or your frozen assets coming. We’ll believe it when we see it in the bank account. Until then, we believe nothing.”

Seyed Mohammad Marandi: If they want to destroy Iran’s key infrastructure, that’s a possibility. But then Iran will destroy all key infrastructure in this region—everything. All the oil and gas installations in the Persian Gulf region and in the Caucasus will be gone, finished. They won’t be damaged; they’ll be destroyed. And that will mean that the key infrastructure of the United States will collapse. The world will collapse because we will enter a severe global economic depression. If that’s what the United States wants, that’s what it will get. But the world will know that it’s the United States that did this. It will know that the Zionists did this. It will know that Netanyahu did this. Because Iran does not want war. Iran does not want to expand the war. We want to live in peace. We want the rights of Palestinians, the Lebanese, and the people of Syria to be restored.

John Mearsheimer: This is much worse than Afghanistan, much worse than Iraq. He’s entered a war that he can’t win, and one could argue is likely to have catastrophic consequences. The Iranians hold almost all the cards. I think it’s very hard for most Americans to understand this, especially people who watch Fox News and are loyal supporters of the president. Iran can wreck the international economy. We are in terrible shape. We are the Titanic. And I think President Trump basically understands that, and I think his advisers understand that, and they’re trying to turn the ship so that we don’t hit the iceberg.

Kuomintang Chairwoman Cheng Li-wen: “Americans didn’t go to fight for Ukraine, and NATO has not helped Ukraine fight. They just keep giving Ukraine weapons, letting you fight for one, two, three, or four years. The dead are Ukrainians, and Ukraine is destroyed. Look at the whole of Ukraine, it is scarred, almost flattened. A whole generation of young people has disappeared on the battlefield. Still fighting. After the war, have you won against Russia? Has Putin stepped down? Has Russia collapsed? The U.S. led the world to impose the most severe, the most terrifying sanctions in history—economic sanctions. Has Russia’s economy collapsed? It’s been almost four years. Could it be that Taiwan will become the second Ukraine? Does Taiwan have more land than Ukraine? And more people? Is China’s economic strength smaller than Russia’s? Is China’s military strength weaker than Russia’s? Is the Chinese mainland’s ruling regime more fragile than Putin’s? Or unstable? After I ask these questions, you will know. Does Taiwan want to be Ukraine?”

Seyed M. Marandi (Seyed Mohammad Marandi): “It will be far worse than 1929. It looks very dark. No doubt about it. There’s no way to make this look non-catastrophic. “Even if Trump is reined in, even if he is removed from power before he takes the final step of targeting Iranian vital infrastructure, the damage already inflicted on the world is very significant, and it will play out even if it ends today—which it won’t. “I think basically what we’re seeing is an empire collapsing. The thing that can lead us to disaster—the world toward disaster—is the arrogance of the West. That arrogance prevents them from still contemplating the fact that they are on the verge of collapse and that everything is on the verge of coming to an end—everything as we knew it. “These are very dark days, and they can become much darker. But in order to end this evil empire and this ethno-supremacism, there has to be resistance, and I think ultimately it will bear fruit. And this evil empire, when it falls, will create hope for the future. “But sadly, since empires are brutal and lash out and they fail to accept their decline, it will be painful for people across the world and across our region and across the West.”

🇦🇪 Pepe Escobar: Dubai’s CIA Hub and Money-Laundering Paradise Collapses They paralyzed the port of Jebel Ali, which is one of the largest cargo ports on the planet, and they paralyzed Dubai Airport, so Dubai as a business model is dead and is not going to recover. And they attacked CIA cells in Dubai. Everybody knows there are CIA cells in Dubai. I saw them myself years ago during the Taliban era. Dubai is not a country to start with or part of an emirate. Dubai is an enormous special free zone, tax-free, offering immense money-laundering opportunities and, until today, safety and security. This has totally collapsed. They focused on Dubai specifically because it’s one of the key nodes of US intel in the whole of West Asia.

The West Refused to Honor the 27 Million Dead Soviets who Defeated Hitler on the 80th Anniversary Jeffrey Sachs: And the shame of it is that we in the United States, or in Britain, or in continental Europe are so nasty not to recognize that fact that the Soviet Union lost 27 million people defeating Hitler and bore the brunt of it. And then would not even show up to the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Hitler because it was Russia—but Russia defeated Hitler, bearing the vast brunt of the war. And this shows the mindlessness of our countries, actually of our leadership—how cruel. By the way, same with China, incidentally. China lost an estimated 14 million people to Japan’s invasion, and when China had the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Japan, no Western government would show up. The ingratitude, the lack of the most basic decency and historical knowledge, is really something disgusting on our side. And then Trump—because, I mean, I hate to come back to him in this context—but he says, “Yes, we defeated Hitler and Russia helped.” I mean, it just is the cruelty of the stupidity, because there’s stupidity, of course, but it’s so stupid it becomes absolutely cruel in its stupidity. That’s where we are.

Under NATO, Canada bombed Libya into rubble, then walked away as open slave markets appeared in the ruins. Canada’s entire mythology runs on reputation management, performative virtue signalling, and sickly sweet diplomatic maple syrup — projecting benevolence abroad and at home to anesthetize its domestic audience into swallowing the fairy tale of “peaceful, polite Canada." Strip away the saccharine myth, and the genocidal anti-Indigenous colonial project collapses like the house of cards it always was — Indigenous youth killing themselves at several times the national rate while dozens of reserves still have no reliable piped water. The maple glaze runs thick because it is the glue holding this rotten imperial anti-Republic together.

Jeffrey Sachs says Mossad is in charge—Israel’s premier assassination unit has effectively dictated U.S. foreign policy for decades, and Trump is just the latest to fall in line. The deep state—CIA, Mossad, MI6—calls the shots, not presidents. Ukraine’s strike on Russian bombers and Israel’s attack on Tehran? Same tactics, same authors, same drones. Mossad was behind both. And the CIA? Of course it knew—it’s neck-deep in it. America doesn’t have an “America First” foreign policy, Sachs says. That’s a convenient illusion. What it has is an “Israel First” policy—reckless, delusional, and decades in the making. The U.S. sacrifices trillions, countless lives, and global trust to serve an extremist Zionist agenda that treats American interests as expendable. Jeffrey Sachs: Certainly, Mossad is in the lead. It’s assassination and murder unit number one, but Mossad has effectively determined U.S. policy for decades, and Trump is falling into line. It’s quite amazing to see one president after another fall into line with Murder Incorporated, led by Israel. We don’t know exactly what happened between then and now. In one sense, I think President Putin, in 2017, expressed something that we all come to learn. He knew it in 2017, in an interview with Le Figaro. He said, “I’ve dealt with many American presidents. They come into office with ideas, but then men in dark suits and briefcases, wearing blue ties, show up and explain to them the world the way that it will be. And so you never hear of those ideas again.” I can’t peer into the inner thinking of Trump, but everything he’s saying and doing today violates what he said last month. In the end, we know that our foreign policy is governed by a deep state apparatus—the CIA, Mossad, MI6, as you said—and we know that the actions that occur—for example, Ukraine’s attack on Russia’s strategic nuclear bombers—had the same provenance, that is, the same authors, as Israel’s attack in Tehran last week. Same methods, same crates carrying drones inside a country to make a decapitation strike or a strategic strike. Mossad was involved in both the Ukraine operation and the Tehran operation last week. We’ve discussed in recent weeks: what did Trump know? I have no idea. What did the CIA know? Of course, it knew. It was involved in all of this. Who leads all of this? Mossad. I would say—it’s strange, but it’s actually true—America does not have an America First foreign policy. Despite what Donald Trump says, America has an Israel First foreign policy. It happens that Israel’s foreign policy is completely reckless, dangerous, and delusional. And it has been that way for decades. I was going to say for 30 years—that’s the time span of Netanyahu, who is currently the most despicable person on the planet, in my view, because he’s the greatest war progenitor of them all. But it actually goes back beyond 30 years. This is a long-term plan for Israel to have its way in the Middle East. The way Netanyahu has explained it, repeatedly, for 30 years—for anyone who cares to read his books and articles or watch his speeches—is painful, but worth doing, because he tells you what his modus operandi is. And the modus operandi is this: we will do what we want in the Middle East, and if any government in the region objects, we will overthrow that government. But when he says “we,” he’s being very nice. It’s his U.S. allies who will do it. The U.S. will spend trillions of dollars, lose lives, and destroy the world’s trust in the United States to carry out this extremist Zionist agenda. And Netanyahu has been right. The U.S. has done his bidding up until now. We know there was a plan hatched decades ago, but revealed to former NATO commander General Wesley Clark in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, which outlined seven wars in five years. Those seven countries were Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Iran. The U.S. has now been engaged in six of those seven. It’s a long-term plan—delayed, by the way—because each one turned into a complete debacle compared to what Bibi always promised: how wonderful these wars would be. And now we’re in the seventh war, finally. Donald Trump has completely fallen into line as of today. It’s amazing to watch. It’s terrifying to watch. It would be nice if we had an America First foreign policy.

Jeffrey Sachs: I think the evidence is quite overwhelming that the CIA killed Kennedy in 1963. And every president since has essentially gone along with the agenda of the US security state. We’ve had a military state for decades. I often think that just as the Roman Republic became the Roman Empire, the US Republic has become the US Empire. What is the actual date of that happening? In normal discourse, people point to Roman history as a warning to the US: “Don’t let this happen.” But I think it’s quite arguable that not only has it happened, but that it happened several decades ago.

This means if he carries out this attack, the energy crisis will be permanent, and the global economy will collapse. But it will be because of Trump. So, we are where we are. But I just want to stress that Iran didn’t push us here. Iran’s threats are being made so that the United States doesn’t do anything stupid.

Humanity has come too far as a species to allow a lawless bully to take us back to the law of the jungle. And allow me to make one point: I think it is right now the high time to expunge the evil as represented by Jeffrey Epstein and whoever is with him. Now, this is a very important point. I do not want to go into further details. I think the evil, as represented by Jeffrey Epstein, needs to be fully expunged in the world, including in the relations between Israel and the United States.

“I’m Not Able To Buy Food... Delivery To My Home Is Prohibited... I Have People Bringing Me Food”: EU Sanctions Trap Former Colonel Jacques Baud Former Swiss Colonel Jacques Baud delivers a stark account of the immediate, personal consequences of EU sanctions, revealing their profound humanitarian and legal impact. Baud describes being cut off from basic necessities: “I’m not able to buy food for instance… nobody is allowed to provide me with any kind of resources.” A concrete example underscores this: a friend’s attempt to order him food from Switzerland was blocked, proving “any delivery to my home is even prohibited.” He now relies on direct handouts to eat. The sanctions create an inescapable trap. Baud explains, “I’m not allowed to travel in the EU, meaning that I’m not even allowed to go back to my country… if I were in my country, I could not come back to the place where I live.” He criticizes the authorities for a process that bypasses due process. While Switzerland “failed to understand the consequence,” the EU’s bureaucratic machinery leaves him powerless: to get a “humanitarian” exemption merely “to buy food,” he must petition an administration that is currently “idle,” leaving him with “no resource whatsoever.” Baud’s ordeal exposes a fundamental flaw in the EU’s system: the ability to wield political sanctions as a blunt instrument against individuals within its own borders, erasing legal protections and imposing a form of extrajudicial house arrest without trial, charge, or democratic accountability.

China Will Eliminate Our Ability to Sanction Countries Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: And that means the renminbi being substituted for the dollar — in everything from oil sales to you name it — it will become the transactional and reserve currency. Already is, to a great extent, for about 40% of the world. They’re going to shoot for 60 to 70% of the world. They’re going to drive the Bretton Woods system back where it came from. They’re going to eliminate SWIFT. They’re going to eliminate our ability to sanction countries. That’s one of their major purposes. And that’s an altruistic purpose for them. They think eliminating our ability to put sanctions on other countries in the world — through which, since the turn of this century, we have killed 38 million people, mostly men, women, and children. China looks at us this way: as having done that damage in the world with our financial system, which allowed us to put primary and secondary sanctions on 30% of the world. Go to OFAC and see how many countries we have under sanction. It’s incredible. And these sanctions kill men, women, and children over time. We killed 500,000 in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq when we had the sanctions on him. Madeleine Albright said, when she was confronted with that statistic, “So what? It was worth it.” She wanted to join Hillary in the world of credence — and she did. This is a serious issue for China, and they want to stop it.

🦠🇺🇸 Prof. Jeffrey Sachs: COVID was caused by a virus that, from the very beginning, had telltale signs that it was made in a laboratory. It may have been tested in a Chinese laboratory but it was made in a US laboratory. It’s awful and it was hidden by the Biden Administration. The CIA said it was probably out of a lab—made by US scientists—and perhaps sent to China for testing. This is an inside US job. The University of North Carolina is holding 2019 emails secretly and fighting non-stop to keep them from public scrutiny. That’s unbelievable. There’s good reason to believe that Tony Fauci funded extraordinarily reckless, dangerous, research that went awry.

Jeffrey Sachs: The core of the UN Charter—the very purpose you find in the preamble and the opening articles—is to stop the use of force and the threat of force by one nation against another. This is the essence of the UN system. Article 2, paragraph 4 of the UN Charter says that no nation may threaten or use force against another nation. It’s simple. As the opening words of the Charter make clear, this is to prevent the scourge of war. But we have a US president who believes the US rules the world and that violence is a core instrument of ruling it. He believes that if countries don’t accede to US demands—what Trump calls “unconditional surrender,” with Trump picking the new leader of Iran—then force will continue until that outcome occurs. It’s in the mold of Hitler or Napoleon or other delusional actors who thought they could rule. But even in those earlier cases, they did not believe they ruled the world. They aimed to rule their neighborhood. They aimed to rule Europe. Hitler aimed for living space in the Slavic lands. Trump’s rhetoric and behavior show he believes he rules the world—on a personalistic level and a political level. I’m not exaggerating. It’s not “Trump delusion syndrome.” It’s just overt behavior. The man’s loony. You can watch it. He has every trait of megalomania, grandiosity, narcissism. It’s quite clear that US foreign policy is typically run by the CIA, and they’re being run ragged right now because they can’t keep up with this madness. There’s a lot of unpredictability and danger. We have a mix of normal US grandiosity—a deep trait of the United States, true under Bush Jr., Obama, and Biden—but with Trump, you add personal-level delusion on top of institutional grandiosity and militarism. We know this from history. This isn’t the first time. But it is the first time in the nuclear age. We’ve never had a circumstance like this in the nuclear age. I would say the world is in a more dangerous situation than it has ever been. Period.
