In the 2022 G1 Tenno Sho Spring, Silver Sonic unseated Yuga Kawada coming out of the stalls. He completed the rest of the race riderless, but shortly after crossing the finishing line, he flipped over a railing, and it looked the like the worst had happened. The vets ran over and his groom was in tears. However, after lying on the ground motionless for 2 minutes, he suddenly jumped up to his feet as if nothing had happened. His team said that he was just lying on the ground chewing grass. Silver Sonic ran another five times in his career, winning his next two starts, before he was retired in 2024. He now spends his time doing dressage and showjumping.
