🚨 GARY NEVILLE ON ARSENAL WINNING THE COMMUNITY SHIELD 🗣️ I’ll be honest, I don’t see Arsenal winning the Premier League this season. They’ve had some very good seasons under Mikel Arteta, but there’s still one thing they haven’t managed to do — win the Premier League in back-to-back seasons. Winning the Community Shield against Manchester City is a good start, and Arsenal fans have every right to enjoy it. But that doesn’t suddenly make them favourites to win the league. For me, the biggest concern is their attack. I still don’t see Arsenal having enough elite attackers who can consistently produce at the highest level when the pressure is on. The Premier League is a completely different challenge. It’s 38 games, consistency, pressure and handling the big moments when the season gets difficult. Until Arsenal prove they can win the title again, I’m not convinced they can do it. They’ve got a very good team, but without elite attackers making the difference week after week, I just don’t see Arsenal winning the league again.

🚨🗣 Gary Neville has criticised Arsenal’s signing of Bruno Guimarães. “I’ve seen this a hundred times and it still drives me mad. Bruno Guimarães is a top player—technical, aggressive, a leader, one of the best in the Premier League. But handing over seventy to nearly ninety million for a twenty-eight-year-old heading towards thirty isn’t a ‘statement signing’; it’s a surrender. That money should go on a twenty-two or twenty-three-year-old with legs, hunger and peak years ahead. Instead you’re throwing it at a player whose prime is already ticking down. You get two or three decent seasons, then wages climb while performances drop and you’re stuck with a thirty-two or thirty-three-year-old on high wages. It’s pure short-termism. Fans get excited briefly, the manager looks busy, and three years later the squad is clogged with expensive ageing midfielders. Spend that money on youth and potential, not someone who’s already had their best days at Newcastle. Anything else wastes the club’s future for temporary applause.”
