Fascinating example of how aviation safety is a chain & one link going wrong can result in a bad day ➡️As the Air India A321 approached for landing, SIA B747 took off, resulting in a wake turbulence ➡️ Wake turbulence for a B747 can be enormous for an A321 to handle forcing crew of VT-TVF to go-around at the last moment ➡️ Go-around near the ground is always tricky & has a higher risk of tail strike ➡️ ICAO rules mandate a minimal separation of 5 nautical miles between a heavy ✈️ like B747 & A321 which is a medium category ✈️ #aviation
