Aces pre game with HC Becky Hammon: I asked her about her early assessment of Ta’Niya Latson, particularly after how she shone against New York. Safe to say Hammon is impressed. “You know greatness is in there. … To be able to come out [and do what she did] against a team like NYL, in Brooklyn, the stage doesn’t get a whole lot bigger than that.” The Sporting Tribune

Got to catch up with Aces guard Ta’Niya Latson after shootaround. Asked her about how she’s settling in Vegas, what that Liberty game felt like for her, and learning from Chelsea Gray. “I feel like I’m at home. I’m comfortable, I’m confident, I love my teammates, my coaching staff, I’m just super blessed to be here.” Latson also said that the Aces communicated with her really clearly what their plan was for her and that made her want to come here. Aliyah Boston is one of very few players that has shown ability to somewhat slow A’ja Wilson down. Wilson averaged 23 and 12 against the Fever this season, which is great. But the 19-48 FG (39.5%) she shot = Boston’s defense making an impact. I asked AB what about the A’ja matchup brings the best out of her:

I asked Aces HC Becky Hammon pregame about Steph Talbot and her usage, or lack thereof, in recent games. Talbot has struggled with scoring and only played 7 mins in the win vs. Mystics on Tuesday. “We like Steph’s size and length defensively. There are times when I’d like to get her a little bit more involved offensively, but it’s really just about giving other people some time, too, and getting a look at what we could potentially have.” The Sporting Tribune
