We were HORRIFIED to see the footage of Nazis marching in the streets of Little Rock yesterday. Arkansas Democrats condemn this demonstration and stand strongly opposed to the destructive and evil white supremacy that these neo-Nazis are trying to spread. Their hateful ideology should be totally unacceptable to every Arkansan. Too many Americans fought and died opposing fascism for us to simply accept swastikas parading through the streets as today’s a political reality. We stand with Arkansas Democratic and Republican political leaders in denouncing this group and their beliefs. These masked cowards want us to be afraid— and they want us to be divided. We cannot let them succeed. Arkansans know that folks of every race, faith, and background have so much more that unites us than separates us. We should protect each other— because every one of our neighbors deserves a fair shot in this state and in this country.

If this bill passes, I can assure you that we will continue and maintain the underwhelming and disappointing outcomes from education we currently have. On a nationwide scale, Arkansas ranks 38 in education, 37 in literacy, 41 in high school completion and 39 in college enrollment rates. Instead of making a half decent attempt at changing any of this, you introduce a bill that attempts to censor student voices and destroys every ounce of local representation from the school system. This bill degrades public education to a point of bankruptcy along with the integrity of its sponsors.”
