Nita Ambani wore a Sambalpuri saree. But the real story is what was woven into it. Created by Odisha’s national award-winning weaver Sukanti Meher of Barpali, Bargarh, the saree carries a design inspired by the Mundaka Upanishad: Two birds sitting on a tree. One watches. The other experiences. A philosophical idea from ancient India, expressed through Odisha’s centuries-old Bandha weaving tradition. This isn't just a saree. It's philosophy, culture and craftsmanship woven thread by thread. And this time, Odisha's story travelled with it. Proudly Sambalpuri. ❤️
