Last week, a 200-year-old oak tree that was damaged by Hurricane Ida fell in Audubon Park. Arborists found bee hives inside the tree and called beekeepers to safely relocate the bees before the tree was removed. The bees left behind a gift for our three black bears - honeycomb!

Audubon Aquarium's male African penguin chick o-fish-ally has a name - say hello to Jupiter! Jupiter is almost three months old and weighs nearly 7 pounds. As you can see, he’s almost lost all of his downy feathers, and his gray juvenile feathers are starting to come in. 🐧
