Good and bad ideas are fairly equally distributed across the political spectrum.

Followers of the Nation of Islam believe that the research of a black scientist named Yakub in 4600 BC led to the creation of the white race via grafting of monkeys and albinos, and that some of Yakub's university colleagues were killed when Moses threw dynamite at them. Perhaps you’re asking yourself, “Wait, there were universities in Mecca that were conducting high-level scientific research over 4,000 years before Jesus and over 6,000 years before the scientific method? Wasn’t this about 1,000 years before the first written language? Did Mecca even exist back then? And why didn’t the Old Testament cover the Moses dynamite incident?” If any of these questions popped into your head, know that you are not alone, and that these details are just the tip of the iceberg in a theology constructed largely of “WTAF” moments. But, hey, if these beliefs were good enough (at least briefly) for Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X and Mike Tyson and Snoop Dogg (and of course tens of thousands of incarcerated felons over the years), who are we to question them?
