My position is clear: I am unequivocally opposed to any new fossil fuel development — including LNG. Industry and governments have spent years selling the lie that natural gas is a “bridge to the future.” The bridge is burning. We must have the courage to say this to every government, of any stripe: if you’re building new pipelines or fossil infrastructure, this shall not pass.

Liberal and Conservative governments in Ottawa have let corporate grocers get away with ripping off Canadians for far too long. Billions in profits are made by the Big 3 Grocers every year, while too many working-class people wonder how they’ll be able to afford their next meal. When markets fail, it’s the government’s job to step in and actually provide alternatives to people. No more waiting for the market to fix itself. Canada needs a public option for grocery stores.
