How did you become part of the project? Let’s start with that. Actually, it happened thanks to a bit of resemblance. I remember there was Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir about 2–3 years ago, though I’m not completely sure. You know it, right? Back then, they were also looking for someone to play the younger version of Demet Özdemir, but I was considered too old for the role. A lot of people said we looked alike. This time everything matched perfectly, and I was really happy about it. So for me, it happened a bit thanks to our resemblance Presenter: You really do look alike. So, how did you feel? What happened during your first meeting with Demet Özdemir ?! She actually came up to me herself. I already really wanted to meet her. When we visited the set before, we never ran into her. We kept meeting Çağatay brother instead, and we would chat with him. But we hadn’t really met Demet sister much before. Then, when we finally had a scene together, she came over and introduced herself. I was so excited. She even joked, ‘You’re playing my younger self you’re so beautiful, but that has nothing to do with being you resemble my childhood character” We laughed about it together. How is Esrefrüya going for you? It’s going great. Really. I know it sounds like a cliché, but it truly feels like a dream to me. The project, in every sense the team, the set, the script has really turned out perfectly. It’s a very good production company. And the audience feedback has completely met our expectations. Yes, I really love them these days. I even have them in my T-shirts if they don’t have any, I actually like getting them sewn in. So was it a special choice !! Not really, it just happened to work out that way. “Eşref Tek and Nisan of Eşref Rüya have captured Turkey’s heart.” D: I can say this clearly: No success ever happens alone. I mean, it really is a very long journey. What we call “mainstream” isn’t simple and can’t be reduced to something simple. There are schedules, releasing a new episode every week, weather conditions, and so many other factors. But when you really work with the right team, you not only feel stronger yourself, but success truly becomes inevitable. That’s why I’m so happy to be working with such a team, with such a production company. “Let’s hear it from her herself Nisan, who refreshes our ears with her songs and captivates everyone with her attitude and charisma” D: Honestly, at first, it didn’t feel comfortable for me. Because she was singing, of course there were all the traumatic challenges in the story and many other factors. But when I asked myself, “Can I do this? Am I capable?” it just flowed naturally, like a stream. Once I jumped in, it became much easier to understand Nisan and also much easier for me to bring her to life.” “No one expected such incredible songs from her. What was the best career advice you ever received? “When we were filming the first episodes of the series, we had a few scenes when Nisan took me out of Cevahir's house and the police caught me. At that moment, Demet must have noticed some of my concerns and she had a very sweet conversation with me in the taxi.
