For those who don’t know, Mazen Hammadi was an activist who was detained and tortured many times in the prisons of Assad regime. He went to Europe and continued on with his activism but became depressed given nothing was happening for the Syrians. Regime exploited his condition into blackmailing him to return back to Syria; He wasn’t heard about ever since. Now his body has been found in Sednaya Prison.

Five years ago to the day, the prominent HTS military commander Abu ‘Ubaydah Kansafrah was martyred while defending his village of Kansafrah, in the Jabal al-Zawiyah region (southern Idlib), against Assad’s troops, backed by Russia and Iran.
