This video, filmed by a tourist in Turkey, went viral worldwide, reaching over 20 million views in just a few hours. As you can hear from his accent, the man is Turkish. Yet, under the video, thousands of Turkish users wrote in English that he is Kurdish and claimed “Kurds are like this.” This is not an isolated case. I’ve seen many similar manipulation attempts under global videos. Clearly, they want to spread the same racism and discrimination they apply to Kurds in Turkey to the international stage — and sadly, they’re partly succeeding. They aim to make Kurds disliked and excluded everywhere, to cut their connection with the global community. While they destroy the Kurdish image worldwide... what are the Kurds busy with?
