Casuals and media noise aside, a lot of this new generation of hoopers has Kevin Durant as their GOAT. They gravitated towards the skill. You have to go to a gym though with players. He's the created player in real life and his formula was ultra successful. His influence on taller players is unmatched. He altered a position and evolved the game. You can tell it was surreal for Ant, the future best, to go against his idol. What's going to grow the legend of KD to the next gen is his ability to continue to perform and match them on any given night.

Ridiculous bucket by Cam Thomas. He jump stopped with his back to the hoop then rises up and lines everything up mid air to get it over Jaylen Brown. Pure hooper.

"I knew my NBA run was coming to an end when I refused to get the vaccine. The Mavs just stopped playing me after that and I had a separate locker room away from the team. It was super tough, but I didn't want to conform to that" - Trey Burke on his NBA exit

This is deeper, but I actually think analytics boom prevented Andrew Wiggins from being a multi time All-Star and bonafide superstar who put up 27/7/5. Look at these shots. His game was the prototype SF (Melo/PG/LBJ/Rudy) at that time, but the game switched very abruptly before he could emerge. Middy, elbow, slasher, 12 footers, long 2's, post fades...all iso half court buckets etc. opening up the rest of their attack. They love to say silly things like "the analytics actually say Shai or Booker are good mid-range shooters" 🤷🏽‍♂️ But how is a young player coming into a league that openly discourages that shot even prove they are elite in that category? They'd have to be rebels.

Said I'd take Darius Acuff over Darryn Peterson before the draft and stand by it 🤷🏽‍♂️ DP fits this NBA more naturally, but player like Acuff have the potential to truly change a franchises trajectory and become MVP level.

Brandon Williams is a pure hooper. He was a great pickup for the Dubs because of his ability to get in the paint to finish, make plays, push the pace and handle the ball.

Eye test and common sense says this a pure hooper and problem of the highest level on that 94 feet who worked his ass off to make the NBA. Analytics waited til this guy was 8 yrs into an NBA career and concluded that this isn't a good basketball player.

No foul baiting, no mismatch hunting, no wasted movements or over dribbling. Just pure skill paired with freakish athleticism. Michael Jordan is basketball.

The night Stephen Curry broke the game open and changed the rules. It's crazy because these were all anti-Spurs and traditional team ball style shots. You'd get benched for even taking these a few years prior. Just filthy makes. Pure skill to the max.

Genuine question, how does Giannis Antetokounmpo's game even fit this system? It's the complete opposite of his attack. Don't like this potential trade for both sides. 🎥 @basedcelticsfan
