1. A lot of people have asked how we came to support the man who spent 7 years in prison—for nothing. No trial. No conviction. Just forgotten. Until now. 2. What many don’t see is that this kind of intervention doesn’t just happen. It’s not luck. It’s not coincidence. It is the result of years of intentional work, built on the faith and commitment of ordinary people who believed that justice must not only be promised—it must be delivered. 3. About a year ago, on a random Facebook post, I asked people to commit to donating whatever amount they could spare—and to do so monthly for a year. Nothing fancy. No grand campaign. Just a quiet call to conscience. 4. From those simple pledges, we built the Pro Bono Legal Impact Initiative. Month after month, people gave. Some gave consistently. Some gave once. Some gave what little they had. But it all added up. 5. Because of that, we’ve been able to help dozens of people—real people—facing impossible odds, with no one to turn to. People criminalized by poverty, forgotten by the system, or punished simply for existing. 6. The story of Kwabena Huletey, who can now take this step after 7 wasted years, is only a glimpse. There are many more. 7. As of today, the fund has GHS 82,660.08 in its account. Every single cedi came from individual donors—no grants, no big money. Just the quiet power of collective will. 8.
