One of my favorite basketball stories to tell is the first time I saw Monta Ellis play. He was a skinny freshman at Lanier High School who couldn’t have weighed more than 125 pounds...and he was out there cooking a bunch of college players. I remember writing his name down on a sheet of paper because I knew I just saw something special.

Spent time in Fort Worth last week watching Neoklis Avdalas workout with Octagon Basketball draft class. At 6'8", he checks the boxes athletically and stylistically as a jumbo playmaker. Definitely one of the bigger wild cards heading into the draft as NBA teams value the size + skill combo now more than ever.
