Our data shows 7 in 10 are overpaying and can save with our new plan. The reason is structural: our battery fleet generates revenue by supporting the Texas grid, and we pass those earnings back as a low, fixed rate that's guaranteed below market average, now and at renewal. Renters, apartment tenants, homeowners not yet ready for a battery: if you're in Texas and can choose your provider, you're eligible. Affordable, reliable power for all. That's the mission, and today we're a lot closer.

We’re excited to announce that Base Power has raised $200M in Series B funding, co-led by Addition, a16z, Lightspeed, and Valor, with support from Thrive Capital, Altimeter, Trust Ventures, and Terrain. Addition’s Lee Fixel joins our board alongside Antonio Gracias of Valor Equity Partners.

In less than two years, Base has become one of the fastest growing energy companies in the country. We’ve deployed more than 100 MWh of battery capacity, partnered with major homebuilders and utilities, and scaled across Texas. This funding will accelerate the buildout of our first factory in the heart of Austin at the former Austin American-Statesman printing press. But the biggest challenges still lie ahead, as demand soars and the aging grid struggles to keep up. We’re looking for problem-solvers who want to build technology to accelerate America’s growth.
