I honestly didn’t want to say anything about this Rahama Saidu’s issue. What she did was completely wrong, she shouldn’t have called out the Governor’s name in that manner. However, the treatment she received afterwards, especially the burning of her shop, is absolutely ridiculous and condemnable. Nothing can justify such an act. I sincerely hope the Kano Government will intervene, ensure justice is served, and the perpetrators are held accountable.

To feed the over 230 million people in this country, we must change the way we farm. The traditional farming methods can no longer meet the demands of our population. We must invest in mechanization and smart agriculture to increase our productivity. As a significant portion of our harvested food is lost due to inadequate food storage facilities, we must also invest in modern storage facilities to reduce waste and preserve our harvests effectively.

We, the APC stakeholders in Kano, made sure our supporters were fully mobilised and present in numbers to clear all doubts about where the political momentum lies. This is particularly important for our Obidient friends who may believe that having Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso as Mr. Peter Obi’s running mate would somehow change the political equation in Kano. It won’t. Kano remains firmly behind President Tinubu.

When I said we are getting at least 80% in Borno, I knew exactly what I was saying. Borno has traditionally been an APC stronghold, dating back to the days of the APP and ANPP. The political structure, grassroots network and longstanding support for the party remain unchanged in the state. This is Borno earlier today, during our City Boy Movement activities. The energy, turnout and level of engagement speak for themselves. 2027 is already taking shape and Borno remains firmly in our column.

The City Boy Movement, despite not being a registered political party, is rapidly emerging as one of the most extensive grassroots political mobilization networks, with a nationwide structure arguably broader than that of some established political platforms, including the NDC. Unlike conventional political parties, the City Boy Movement operates as a political support and mobilisation organisation, bringing together young people, volunteers and supporters around a shared political objective. Our activities have increasingly taken the organisation beyond major urban centres into communities across the six geopolitical zones. Recent engagements by the Movement in the North-East and North-West have further demonstrated the scale of its grassroots network. From town-hall meetings and stakeholder engagements to youth empowerment programmes and mobilisation activities, the Movement has continued to deepen its presence at the grassroots. The leadership of the Movement maintains that its growing national structure is a product of organisation, consistency and direct engagement with ordinary Nigerians rather than merely relying on formal political structures. We believe that the current momentum provides a strong foundation for even greater national engagement ahead of the 2027 political season and beyond.
