Today we honored Paul Robbins, a 101-year-old World War II veteran believed to be the last living plank owner of Battleship New Jersey. Today he returned to the ship he reported aboard in 1943, and at the close of the ceremony, Paul cast a memorial wreath into the Delaware to honor those who never came home. We are grateful he was with us today. #veterans

Did you know Battleship New Jersey was the only battleship to get swimming pools? In 1968, the ship’s WWII-era 40mm anti-aircraft guns were removed, and the remaining gun tubs were modified into pools by Captain Snyder. Check out this video for more!
