🟥An oligarch, Bidzina Ivanishvili - the honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream party, former Prime Minister of #Georgia, and widely regarded as the country’s informal ruler - hosted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at his business center. The meeting also included government delegations. The party published a video of the meeting with the original sound replaced by music. According to Georgian Dream, Ivanishvili thanked Aliyev for his productive visit to Georgia and noted that the friendly relations between Georgia and #Azerbaijan are at their highest level, bringing mutual benefit to both countries. "The party’s honorary chairman emphasized the importance of the deep and comprehensive economic ties between the two countries, as well as the potential for fully utilizing the transit corridor. He noted that close partnership ultimately serves the national interests of both Georgia and Azerbaijan equally. Ivanishvili also thanked Aliyev for supporting a peaceful and stable environment in the #SouthCaucasus, stressing that in a setting marked by security challenges, it is vital for the political leadership of both countries to make every effort to preserve peace and economic development,” the statement released by Georgian Dream said. According to the party, the meeting also covered close cooperation in the energy sector and joint transport and energy projects implemented by Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway was highlighted as playing a key role in ensuring regional connectivity. 'Ivanishvili noted that Georgia remains open to Azerbaijani investment, which has continued to grow actively in recent years.'
