Leon Goretzka was absolutely livid after that miss of João Palhinha—just like the rest of us. I still can’t wrap my head around how he missed that, the goal was literally empty.

It’s astonishing to witness the low level of intelligence and casual racism on display within the Bayern community on a daily basis. I have been labeled as being from India, then Poland, and tomorrow it will be Greenland. From a journalistic perspective, the fascism injected into parts of this fanbase is not accidental but instrumental, deliberately used to undermine credibility, distract from reporting, and discredit journalists rather than engage with substance.

Vincent Kompany has gone out of his own pocket to raise Bayern’s training standards, arranging for a couple of FORZA Alu110 Freestanding Stadium Box Goals in full FIFA size (7.32m × 2.44m) to be brought to Säbener Straße, each costing around €3,000 (£2,600). These goals are the standard across Europe’s elite clubs, built with solid aluminium frames and supported by back stanchions that extend backwards. The ratchet system keeps the net under constant tension, creating a bright white box that remains crystal clear from every angle. Every strike snaps back with energy, giving players the sharp feedback they expect, and the corners and target zones are immediately visible for strikers working on precision finishing. Bayern had still been relying on the same old red and grey straight back goals for nearly twenty years. The nets sagged, the colours blurred the frame, the ball simply died inside the mesh, and the target zones were difficult to see. For finishing drills this meant less precision and less realism, and several senior players voiced their dissatisfaction. Harry Kane and Michael Olise in particular made their feelings clear to Kompany, both of them used to the modern box net setups that have been standard across Premier League training grounds for years. They were unimpressed by how outdated the Bayern equipment looked and felt compared to what they had left behind in England, and Kompany shared their frustration. The board, however, dismissed the need for new goals as an unnecessary expense, while Kompany saw them as a crucial detail that directly influences the sharpness of training and the standards within the squad. So, by paying for the new goals himself, Kompany ensured Bayern finally trained with the same professional box-net equipment long routine at Europe’s elite clubs. Nevertheless, the rest of the training ground remains heavily outdated, with rusty fittings, worn-down surfaces, and facilities that resemble a second-division setup rather than the home of a supposed European powerhouse.

Since tonight, Bayern Munich’s season will officially be over, all I can think about is how different everything would’ve been if Thomas Tuchel was still in charge. I’m fully convinced that under him, we would have reached the semifinals by now — and we wouldn’t have stopped there. We’d be marching straight to the final in Munich, with purpose, structure, and belief. Tuchel didn’t need a perfect squad, he didn’t need media protection, and he sure as hell didn’t need time — he just delivered. Last season, with an injury-hit team, no backing from the board, and chaos behind the scenes, he gave Bayern back its European identity — even when everything around him was falling apart. That run, that fight, that tactical brilliance — it was a greater achievement than anything we’ve seen under Kompany this season, even with all the resources and silence he’s been handed. Tuchel was elite, and now, every time I hear Diddy’s “I’ll Be Missing You,” it hits different. Because that song isn’t about Biggie anymore — It’s about Thomas Tuchel! “𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐈 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲 — 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮…” I really do, in fact, we all do. We miss the fight, we miss the aura, we miss the man who stood tall in the storm and still made Bayern look like Bayern. I speak for every real fan when I say — we’re waiting for your return, my eternal gaffer. You were never the problem, you were the last piece of greatness this club had. Come home, and finish what you started.

𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐞. I see a lot of noise, a lot of panic after the injury of Musiala, people clutching onto hope like it still matters, but I let go weeks ago, I already buried this season with a quiet toast to lost dreams, and since then I’ve been free, light, untouchable, gliding through life with a smirk and a cigar in my mouth, watching chaos unfold from a distance. You see, I’m operating on a different frequency now, my mind is no longer chained to formations, injuries and fixtures, because real life, beautiful chaotic real life, has pulled me into something far more demanding and far more rewarding, I am in the final stages of the season with my youth team, the project of a lifetime, and the weight I carry is not just football tactics or training schedules, it is the weight of manhood, of attraction, of responsibility. These young mothers, week after week, arrive in their carefully chosen outfits, standing at the edge of the pitch pretending to watch their sons, but their eyes are on me, their intentions as clear as daylight, and it’s not just about desire, it’s about longing, it’s about hope, they are drawn to something they cannot explain, and I, as a man, must respond to this energy, must honor it, must guide and please and provide in ways they didn’t even know they needed. So when Musiala goes down, when the FT explodes, I don’t panic, I exhale a slow breath of smoke and smile, because I have transcended all that, I am beyond it, I am consumed with purpose, with duties of flesh and spirit, with the demands of women who ache for me and the burden of being the man they all believe I am, and if you had any sense you would leave the season behind too, let it rot, and step into this realm of true masculine obligation where peace is found not in victory but in surrender.
