Is London's mystery Batman Niko Omilana? 🦇👀 A masked man calling himself 'London's Batman' has reportedly been giving away thousands of pounds to strangers across the capital. Most recently, he was spotted handing out £70 fuel vouchers at a petrol station in south-east London, where crowds gathered and traffic came to a standstill. He's also been filling potholes, cleaning up litter, paying hospital parking charges and even selling Freddos for just 5p. #London #Batman #MysteryBatman

The mayor of London has officially opened the UK's first cinema dedicated to black and African filmmaking, in south London. The venue, in Nine Elms, brings together film, food, fashion, art and music under one roof, celebrating black culture and creativity.

A report commissioned by the Greater London Authority found that "racial bias" in licensing and policing disproportionately affects black-led music events. The Race Equality in Music Event Licensing (REMEL) report said that black-led events in London were blocked at higher rates than white-led events, and that South Asian-led events also had more restrictions. Music genres such as Afrobeats, hip-hop, drill, R&B and dancehall were also routinely flagged as "high risk". The Metropolitan Police said it would carefully consider the report's findings. #Music #Licensing #London

George's home has been without hot water or heating for more than six months and his wife is recovering from major surgery. The developer of their block has since gone into liquidation, leaving the companies involved unable to agree who should pay to fix problems with the gas pipes. Now George, 31, says he's been told to pay a lump sum of almost £4000 in service charges -including a “debt collection fee” of £1,000 - within a day. Grangeford says the leaseholders are in “in breach of lease” for not paying their service charges - which residents deny. It has not responded to requests for comment. Airports across the UK are seeing flight delays and cancellations due to an issue with air traffic control. Nats says the issue is with its "flight processing system" and that "recovery will take some time". Heathrow and Gatwick airports are affected.
