I’ve always thought he was a good actor, especially in the first two Avatar movies, but he reaches a new level in A3. His portrayal of Jake is so layered and complex. A man who hates himself but loves his family more than words. Sam shone in this film

This reminds me of how in the original A1 script, Neytiri said “kissing is very good. But we have something better” before she offers her kuru to Jake for tsaheylu during the Tree of Voices scene

There is an entire scene where Neytiri calls Jake out on his actions and how harshly he speaks to the kids. They then have a very explicit conversation where he explains how he feels and she tells him that how he talks to the kids is not okay
