SCUD RACE(SEGA SUPER-GT) is the first title released with the 3D CG board "MODEL 3",developed jointly by Sega and Lockheed-Martin. It has a quite unique "drifting acceleration" mechanic which allows you to accelerate while maintaining the drift angle. The technique lies in managing both the acceleration and the drift angle. lifting off will add turning angle while stopping, and stepping on the gas add more speed but reduce turning angle. however, the cars are rotating so fast and very easy to spin that you need very gentle coordination between gas and brake, Much more than your usual SEGA racing game. The title unexpectedly came to be called as "the most difficult driving game ever" with many players walking away due to its difficult handling model.

I think this is the only game that's somehow capture how it actually feels like to do "GT3 at Spa" the sound are deafening. crashes left and right. debris thrown at you. impacts that feel super harsh and painful... and the helmet effects disorients you and made the car actually feels fast.

Wrong. the Assetto Corsa community already figured it out, you can actually develop a responsive and smooth gamepad controls taking FFB data, wheel slip, etc into account. It: - provides fast turning, but taking slip angle into account so you don't burn the tires - takes FFB outputs and ease you out into slides, while giving you input to control the slides yourself. It's in the form of a 600-ish LOC lua script that any simulator dev could look at, and possibly replicate for it to work out of the box.

The latest Assetto Corsa Evo somehow included Keiichi Tsuchiya's 3.5 closed ratio transmission as one of their customization options. It's where the 5th gear is swapped with a closer '3.5' gear so you gotta shift it from 3 to 5 and then 4. That being said, it's a crime to put out a car like this and not giving us a scanned version of Gunma Cycle Sport Center

There's no open world racing game as dense as Midnight Club LA even until today i think. "My father-in-law is a game dev. A racing game that is - Not a simulator - works with VR - Works with a wheel + H Shifter + FFB is currently... just this one, as far as i know. (that, apart from chinese arcade VR cabinets) FlatOut 4: Total Insanity VR (FlatOut VR ) Hope there's more arcade games with wheel support so i can reccomend more casuals to own a wheel, lol
