Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has announced an immediate one year statewide ban on the production, processing, storage, transportation, distribution, and sale of analogue (artificial/non dairy) paneer across Maharashtra. He had to take this step after realising that almost all major hotel chains across Maharashtra were using analogue paneer. Every state deserves an officer like him. States should not compromise on public health.
